I read an eWeek piece on Nous Research’s Hermes Agent, and what stood out to me was an auto-skill-creation mechanism that mimics what I’ve gotten in the habit of doing with Claude Code. After a complex task, the agent stops, looks at what worked, and writes itself a new skill file. The author, according to Reddit sentiment surveys, says 30% of OpenClaw users have switched to Hermes Agent.
The latest release, v0.13.0 (“The Tenacity Release”), landed 864 commits from 295 contributors in one week and 8 critical security holes closed, plus 20 messaging platforms and a proper multi-agent kanban with zombie-worker reclamation. An integrated kanban sounds like a great way to interact with agents.
As someone who tried OpenClaw and bailed when my “orchestrator” developed a catchphrase, I’m glad to have another option to try.
